About this listing
ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 FR Satin Black
The EC-1000 FR delivers immediate comfort and control with its satin black finish and ergonomic thin U-profile neck that settles naturally into your hand during extended sessions. The set-thru mahogany construction combined with active EMG 60/81 pickups produces a thick, resonant tone with aggressive midrange punch and crisp high-end clarity. Built for technical players and tone-focused musicians, this guitar excels across metal, hard rock, and modern rock applications while remaining sonically versatile enough for genre exploration.
Playability & Feel
The 3-piece mahogany neck with thin U profile provides responsive feel without excess neck weight, while the macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets supports fast, precise playing across all registers. A 350mm fingerboard radius balances comfortable chord work with aggressive single-note technique, and the 42mm nut width gives adequate string spacing for both intricate fingerings and open voicings.
Tone & Electronics
The Floyd Rose 1000SE bridge delivers responsive tremolo control for expressive dive bombs and subtle whammy effects, while the set-thru construction maximizes sustain and resonance through the mahogany body. Dual active EMG 60 (neck) and EMG 81 (bridge) pickups provide articulate, high-output signal with independent volume controls on each pickup plus master tone shaping, giving you complete tonal sculpting capability across your playing dynamic.
