Overview
The S-300 is part of Epiphone's S-Series, which featured the following headstock shapes:
- Matsumoku-style Explorer (1986)
- Narrow Jackson style (1986)
- Thicker Jackson style (1986-1987)
- Elongated Explorer style (1988)
These guitars came standard with a vintage-style non-locking tremolo, with the option to upgrade to the Epiphone Bennder Vibrola and locking nut.
