View All Semi-Hollow

The Epiphone Riviera was released as a semi-hollowbody thinline in 1962. The design shared much with the Epiphone Sheraton, especially as the Sheraton evolved throughout the '60s. The Riviera, for example, was introduced with mini-humbuckers while the Sheraton original had New York pickups. Epiphone has reissued a number of import Rivieras in recent years.

The Rivieras from the early 1980s were all made by the Japanese manufacturer Matsumoku.
