Overview

Though Collings as a company has been crafting quality instruments since the '80s, the Collings OM2H acoustic guitar proves they aren't afraid to reach back in time for inspiration. Based on old Martin 000-style guitars, the OM2H sports a svelte orchestra model body type that make it more maneuverable regardless of whether you're playing on the couch and on stage. Sitka spruce and East Indian rosewood comprise the 20-fret OM2H acoustic, and it's often favored by both flatpickers and fingerstyle players.

excellent all around guitar, sounds better with non coated strings which seem pretty bright. mine has the 1 11/16" nut w/ modified v neck which is perfect for me. The 1 3/4" nut neck version which I had before this one was great for finger style playing but but not as comfortable

In my opinion, this one has a great balance, articulation, volume, and sustain combination. It's responsive when played softly, and has the power and projection when played hard. The finish, brace shaping, and contours show meticulous workmanship.

Really lovely acoustic guitar for more delicate playing - like jazz in my case. I have the action lowers and everything leveled out by extremely good tech in my area and put on Thomastik-Infeld strings. Now it plays extremely well and sounds great - deep, ringing but not overly bright. This guitar is exceptionally well made and i look forward to the sitka aging some.
