From the Price Guide

Before Breedlove grew into a large company with overseas production and multiple product lines, they were just two guys - Kim Breedlove and Steve Henderson - hand-making custom guitars out of Oregon. These early models were designated by simply letter and number combination, with obvious codes (C = concert).

The Breedlove C1 was a shallow body concert-size guitar with a characteristic downward sloping sharp cutaway, body binding, gold Schaller tuners and an Ebony pinless bridge. Since early Breedlove models pre-'95 were essentially all custom ordered, any model could have a variety of wood types or appointments, depending on the customer's wishes. The body on the specimen pictured is African Bloodwood.

In 1997, the C1 was renamed the C10.

*Note: The LR Baggs pickup shown in the picture is not original to the guitar.
