From the Price Guide

Overview

B.C. Rich started as a custom guitar shop in the late '60s. The shop's wild designs gained a following among several high-profile guitarists through the '70s and '80s, and B.C. Rich guitars from this era do attacked a certain group of collectors. By the end of the '80s, the brand was sold and to Class Axe which greatly diminished build quality. Mockingbirds from before this period do maintain interest to collectors, though those from the late '80s are less attractive than earlier examples.
