This is one of the coolest guitars made by Gibson during the 60’s & was special ordered by a very young guitar player named Larry Williams, he ordered it brand new from “Woods Music & Scuba” in Hillsdale, Michigan in late 1966, its was ordered in a beautiful dark & rich see-thru Cherry finish complimented by its all gold hardware, its got 2 potent mini=Humbuckers powering it, its bound tortoise’gard has slight crystalizing going on & still wears its “E” logo, its chrome capped knobs are missing 2 caps, what make this Sheraton so special is that Larry wanted this Sheraton dressed down so he had Gibson replace the multi lamimated white & black bindings all over with a single layer of Black binding on its front & back of its body & around its beautifully pearl/abalone inlaid ebony fingerboard, he also ordered its pretty vine inlaid headstock “Unbound”, lastly he order factory Grover tuners & a Bigsby vibrato unit to go along with his talent & style of music he loved, she’s excellent overall but she’s got weather checking & some play time all over, she has been kept in 100% original condition & is complete with its original “bill of sale” for $884.w/tax from Woods Music & Scuba to verify its complete history from day 1, she comes with its original Gibson Black/Yellow lined hard case.
