Video: Tone King Falcon Grande

A heavyweight in the world of boutique amps since the company’s inception, Tone King’s ability to emulate classic tone and discerning selection of American-made components has set them apart for twenty years. Their latest offering, the Falcon Grande, might seem like just a bigger version of the Falcon, but this bird brings some major new features.

Built around a 12” custom-designed speaker made in tandem with Eminence, the Falcon Grande pumps 20w of muscle controlled with the ease of single-channel volume/tone design and playbook options of three unique voices (rhythm, tweed, lead) toggled via footswitch. The crisp cleans and throaty mids powered by 6181 outputs and 12AX7 power tubes are complemented by a real-deal spring reverb pan with controls for reverb and dwell. Topped tone off with an onboard Ironman II attenuator and Fletcher-Munson EQ comp, the Falcon Grande is a new precedent in the world of compact boutique combos.

Be sure to take a look at the video above of Joe putting the Falcon Grande to work finding out just how versatile and clean it sounds.
