Video: BoBeats on How to Build a Hardware Synthesizer Setup, Part 2

Our friend BoBeats from YouTube is back with another video on how to assemble a hardware synth setup.

Last time around, Bo outlined the fundamental building blocks of a hardware rig, explaining how different types of brains interact with synths and other components to create full production and performance systems. In today's video, Bo takes things a step further with a dive into two model setups with explanations on how it all fits together.

First up, Bo uses a Novation Circuit as a brain in a basic system which includes a Volca Keys synth played through the effects of a Stylophone Gen X-1. The second setup incorporates an Elektron Digitakt, a Roland SE-02 synth module, and a BASTL microGranny 2 sampler for a slightly more involved yet still concise rig.

Take a look above for part two in Bo's unraveling of the finer points of electronic gear. Be sure to watch through the end for a bonus assortment of other synth setups culled from earlier musical adventures.
