Australian indie-pop band The Temper Trap is selling more than 60 pieces of gear on Reverb—and you can find it all on The Temper Trap Official Reverb Shop now. It features gear used by each member of the band throughout their award-winning career both live and in the studio.
The group gained international acclaim with their 2008 single "Sweet Disposition" off of their debut album Conditions, which won them the Most Popular Australian Single at the ARIA awards in 2010 and was featured in the film 500 Days of Summer. So far, the band has released three critically and commercially successful albums.
The shop will feature gear used throughout the band's career, including a rare, out-of-production Wasabi AD-1 Forward-Reverse Delay used on "Soldier On" and in the breakdown of "Science of Fear."
The Temper Trap Official Reverb Shop will also feature:
- A Boss Distortion DS-1 used live in the early days of the band by both Jonathon Aherne and Toby Dundas, and in the Conditions studio sessions by Aherne.
- A Marshall VBA400 head that was part of the band's main touring rig and has been used by Aherne live and in the studio.
- A Reissue 1962 Bluesbreaker combo played live and in the studio by former lead guitarist Lorenzo Sillitto, prior to his departure in 2013.
- A Vox AC30 Combo with flight case.
- A Fender MIM Jazz Bass used by Aherne both live and in the studio.
"As a guitarist, I'm constantly looking for new pieces of gear that will inspire me or maybe be influential in creating a song," says Joseph Greer, guitarist and keyboardist for the band.
"Sometimes it takes a lot of experimentation with different pedals, amps, and guitars to find that. I have a lot of pedals that have been a part of that journey, but I also think that if it hasn't been used for a long time, maybe it's time for someone else to add it to their collection and hopefully inspire them. I'd hope these items fall into the hands of someone who will get as much fun as I got out of them."
