Rush's Alex Lifeson Launches the Lerxst Limelight, Inspired by His Famed Hentor Sportscaster

Hot off the heels of the Lerxst Omega amp and By-Tor pedal, Alex Lifeson's signature brand has announced the limited-edition Limelight. The S-style guitar, built by Godin, will be immediately recognizable to Rush fans as a take on Lifeson's famous Hentor Sportscaster.

The Lerxst Limelight is a high-quality, thoroughly modern and refined instrument, which combines Godin's luthier craftsmanship with appointments hand-selected by Lifeson.

It features a contoured Swamp Ash body, a Hard Rock Maple neck with a 12” radius, an ebony fretboard, and medium stainless steel frets for fast and intuitive playability. Like Lifeson’s original modified S-type, this has an HSS pickup configuration for maximum versatility, with pickups custom-wound by Mojotone to Lifeson’s specifications.

"Collaborating with Alex Lifeson, an iconic artist who continually pushes tonal boundaries, is more than an opportunity—it's a testament to our shared pursuit," said Godin Guitars' President and CEO Simon Godin. "This collaboration represents a union of two relentless forces, aiming not just to build guitars, but to sculpt vessels of inspiration, and chart a new standard in musical expression."

The guitar is available with two distinct tremolo system options: one with a Floyd Rose and one with a Vega Trem. Available for pre-order now in The Official Lerxst Reverb Shop, the first 40 orders of each will come with an exclusive, signed vinyl record bundle from Lifeson's Envy of None.
