Few folks remember their preschool classmates. Less keep in touch with them through their high school years. For chart-topping rockers Jimmy Eat World, a bond formed before grade school led to the creation of a band that would go on to sell nearly 2 million albums over three decades—and now, fans of the band’s catchy alt, indie, and punk rock choruses can buy their studio- and tour-used gear in The Official Jimmy Eat World Reverb Shop.
Shortly after grade school friends Jim Adkins and Zach Lind connected with Tom Linton and Rick Burch during their formative high school years, Jimmy Eat World began captivating audiences around the world. Over the past three decades, the Arizona-based quartet have released 10 studio albums, including the RIAA certified Bleed American and aforementioned Futures, selling millions of copies globally.
With #1 hits like "The Middle," "Sweetness," and "Pain," as well as newer fan favorites such as "555" off of 2019’s Surviving and 2022’s standalone single "Something Loud," Jimmy Eat World’s catchy choruses and guitar riffs have become instantly recognizable staples of the alt rock genre.
"Over the years we’ve accumulated a lot of musical equipment—stuff we’ve used for touring and recording across the world. Now, we’re willing to pass some of our beloved gear along to you," said the band’s frontman, Jim Adkins.
Among the items that are available in the Official Jimmy Eat World Reverb Shop are two Orange Thunderverb 200 Watt amps that the band used on 2002’s Pop Disaster Tour.
