Brian Wilson's High School Changes Music Class Grade from F to A

While many people consider Brian Wilson to be one of the foremost musical talents of the 1960s, his high school music teacher apparently did not share this opinion. According to a Tweet made by the official Brian Wilson account earlier today, Wilson received a failing grade on a composition assignment for a music class at Hawthorne High School. That assignment later turned out to be "Surfin'," the Beach Boys' first single.

More than fifty years and countless hit songs later, Wilson's failing music grade has officially been reversed by the school's principal, Dr. Landesfeind. It appears, as the Beach Boys once sang, Mr. Wilson remains true to his school.
