A Look at The Guitar Show 2017 in Birmingham

With The Guitar Show returning to Birmingham’s New Bingley Hall next weekend, artists and exhibitors have been eagerly announcing their attendance. The UK’s biggest guitar event will be held on the 25th and 26th of February 2017.

The highlights of the show include guitar ace Alex Hutchings (presented by Roland/Boss) and Phil Walker performing excerpts from his acclaimed ‘Story Of Guitar Heroes’ theatre show. The live rockumentary takes audiences through the history of rock ’n’ roll via famed guitarists like Hank Marvin, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Slash, Joe Satriani and more.

The 2017 show will also feature some new exhibitors including Elixir Strings, Sandberg basses, Ovation Guitars, Fane Acoustics, Shergold Guitars and Audio Distribution Group (Earthquaker Devices, JHS Pedals, Catalinbread, Maxon, etc.). These brands will be joining big names like Laney, Marshall, Fender, PRS Guitars, Yamaha, Line 6, Roland, Blackstar, Orange, Lag, Diezel, Vigier in the most comprehensive Guitar Show lineup yet.

There will be a strong presence from homegrown guitar building talent, too. UK luthiers will be represented by the likes of Patrick James Eggle, Rob Williams, Feline, JJ Guitars, Crimson, and Reiver to name a few, showcasing the very best in domestic custom and bespoke design.

Guitar & Bass Magazine editor Chris Vinnicombe is also set to present a series of ‘Meet Your Maker’ interview and Q&A sessions over the weekend involving luminaries of the industry from the likes of Orange, Bare Knuckle Pickups, Patrick James Eggle and ThorpyFX.

You can purchase tickets for the Guitar Show ahead of time here. If purchased in advance, they’re priced at £12.50 for adults and £7 for kids under 16. At the door, adults will pay £15 and those under 16 will pay £10.
