Taylor T5z Classic Deluxe — 2021 — Shaded EdgeburstThe T5z occupies a specific and practical niche — a hollowbody hybrid designed to function convincingly as both an acoustic and electric guitar through a single instrument and a single cable. The three-pickup configuration handles that range: a concealed neck humbucker, an acoustic body sensor, and a visible bridge humbucker, selectable via a 5-way switch. The body sensor delivers acoustic-style resonance and dynamics when run through an acoustic amp or PA; the humbuckers deliver conventional electric tones through a guitar amp. The 5-way switch covers everything in between.The Deluxe specification adds the all-gloss Shaded Edgeburst finish — applied to both top and back — upgrading the aesthetic over the standard satin Classic. Mahogany top on a sapele body, sapele neck, ebony fingerboard with small diamond inlays. The more compact T5z body and the 12" radius fingerboard with jumbo frets give it a playing feel closer to an electric than a traditional acoustic.The guitar is in good condition with two areas of cosmetic damage: a scuff and dent on the side of the fingerboard, and a dent on the front edge of the body just above the controls. Neither affects playability.
