About this listing
The Reverend Descent is a baritone electric guitar designed for players who want deeper tuning and a powerful, extended low end. With its longer 26.75” scale length, it handles lower tunings with clarity and tightness while still feeling comfortable and familiar to most guitarists.Built with a korina body, the Descent offers a balanced tone with strong resonance and warmth. It typically comes equipped with a pair of Reverend’s custom pickups that provide a wide tonal range—from clear, defined clean sounds to thick, aggressive distortion that works well for rock, alternative, and heavier styles. The roasted maple neck has a smooth feel and a comfortable profile that makes extended playing sessions easy. Like many Reverend guitars, the Descent includes the Bass Contour control, allowing players to roll off low frequencies and fine-tune the response of the pickups for different styles or amps.Overall, the Reverend Descent is a solid choice for guitarists looking to explore baritone territory without sacrificing playability or versatility. It offers a distinctive voice and reliable construction that suits both stage and studio use.
