About this listing
Selling my 1996 Gibson Herb Ellis ES-165 as I’m downsizing my gear collection and simplifying my setup. The guitar is in great condition for its age and has been very well cared for. It plays beautifully and has that warm, rich, full-bodied tone you’d expect from a Gibson archtop. Whether played clean for jazz and blues or just enjoyed acoustically around the house, it’s an incredibly inspiring instrument.I’ve really enjoyed owning this guitar and it’s not an easy one to part with, but I simply don’t play it enough anymore to justify keeping it.A beautiful example of a ’90s Gibson archtop and a fantastic instrument for someone looking for a quality jazz box with plenty of character.Feel free to reach out with any questions or if you’d like additional photos.
