Every component of thecable itself is carefully chosen with the end goal of creating a tough,flexible, and interference free DMX cable. Inner Conductors:The four primary stranded inner conductors each have 20strands of 0.12 bare copper. While many cable companies will lower costby using inferior materials here (like aluminum with a copper coating), EliteCore CSD is pure, from the inside out. Soft Cotton Stranded Filler:To create the soft, pleasing feel of the CSD5 cable, wechose a natural cotton filler to round out the interior of the cable. Itfeels right, coils the way you want it to, and is pleasant to handle. Braided ShieldThe primary Braided shield provides an extra layer ofruggedness. It’s effective in shielding from EMI and RFinterference. Outer Jacket:The outer jacket of the CSD5 cable is opaque black PVC withan outside diameter of 7.6mm. PVC is the perfect material for thisapplication because it holds its shape well and has great abrasion resistance. It’s easy to clean and comfortable to coil. CONNECTORSCSD5 cables are hand terminated in our Custom Shop withGenuine Neutrik XX series connectors. Our standard is the blackconnectors with silver contacts. The XX series is the next generation ofthe worldwide accepted standard of XLR cable connectors.
