Up for sale, a circa 1977 Maxon OD-880 "Soft Distortion" pedal in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and manual, as well as an adapter for the non-conventional power supply input.
Maxon's first effects pedal, the OD-880 employs a passive distortion circuit based around the 741 Op Amp, the OD880 was coveted for its warm and natural overdrive tone, perfect for use as a transparent booster to take a tube amp over the edge.
The circuit is untouched, and the green enclosure shows some small finish chips on the edges, retaining the original knobs and black foil label on the back. The graphics are bright and unfaded, the original knobs are intact, and the soft pad on the back of the pedal is also notably clean.
The original box and manual are included.
