Ooof...this is nice. Martin launced this limited edition of the iconic D18 at this years Namm.
Like the regular D18, it features a solid Sitka spruce top with the "re-imagened" forward shifted X-bracing and solid mahony back & sides. Unlike the regular D18, it has a rosewood fingerboard and bridge (instead of ebony) and subtle but gorgeous rosewood body binding. The rosewood fingerboard in particular has a nice and different sound to it compared to the ebony board; less explosive, but a bit more gentle and warm. Very nice balanced tone and a bit more (even more!) old-school you cold say. As the cherry on top, it has a LR Baggs Anthem pre-installed with battery access on the backside.
