JVC RC-M70LB - Classic Radio Cassette - Ghetto Blaster

Here we have on offer what i can only describe as a stunning example of this classic unit...
The condition for its age is superb with only a few signs of any use and wear. Not mint but certainly not far off!

I am unsure of the unit history so will do my best to describe the functions as tested

Powers up fine, tuned into some FM stations and sounds excellent, very strong signal. Tone controls work, sliders are working very well and did not notice any problems on those....

Tested the tape player and fast forward, rewind, play functions again all worked as did the tape counter. Do not have a blank tape to try and record but will try if i can find one.. tape heads and inside compartment look unused and excellent, battery compartment is clean and no corrosion
VU meters worked with audio
This is as much as i have tried so on basic function tests did not find any issues
Please not that due to age i can not offer any warranty or returns as may require a service due to age but did not find fault in any tests i did

After a few questions here is a bit more info

• The tuner dial lights up when the switch is pressed. Not sure if it is as bright as when new but does work. Can see a bit of light in the VU meters too but may want new lamps??
• Volume and tone sliders all function very well and feel nice and smooth
• Tuner tested on MW and FM and found stations no problem - FM sounds excellent
  
• Retested tape playback and functions - All worked fine - Not recorded as no blank tapes
• Unit has DC socket input as well as mains input - There is a voltage selector set to 240v - It says can be switched to other voltages. See back panel pic - I am selling as set to 240v UK and Europe standards
• The tape music search functions work ok
• Can supply the mains cable too
  

I will try and do a couple of basic videos of operating test
