A Leedy 3-piece drum set from 1949, 9x13, 16x16 and a very rare 14x20 bass drum. Original White Marine Pearl wrap with faucet T-rods, single flanged rims on the toms and art deco lugs. All nickel hardware.
Condition is not collector grade but very clean looking. The bass drum had Ludwig 1216 brackets installed at some point, extra holes patched from this on the underside, the repair was well done. A Slingerland cymbal arm bracket was added as well, which is still present (no brand stamp on it so it fits in well). Walberg rail mount is original to the drum.
Floor tom had no leg brackets originally, it has some unidentified split brackets on it (right in the middle of the shell) with 5/16" bar stock legs that I made. Rack tom is all original.
Both toms had factory mufflers top and bottom, they currently have the muffler knobs installed on screws for appearance but no inner frames. Original bearing edges are near-flawless, no ply issues, shells in round and they sound great. Wraps are excellent, no splits or cracks, very even yellowing, no nicotine stains. The lugs are thick so these drums are fairly heavy.
Comes with the rest of the rail mount (not pictured) and a pair of Leedy hoop clamp spurs. Snare stand in photos not for sale. Will ship with brand new stock heads on all drums.
These three drums were born together originally, all with the short-lived late 40s shield badge and date stamped 1949 inside. I have a matching 1949 6.5x14 Broadway snare drum available as well on request, not born with these drums but with the same late 40s badge and in the same WMP wrap.
