The CE 24 has always occupied a unique place in the PRS lineup. It isn't trying to be a Core Custom 24 with less; it has its own identity. The bolt-on maple neck adds a little more snap and immediacy to every note, giving the guitar a livelier feel while still delivering the refinement, balance, and craftsmanship PRS is known for. It's no surprise the CE has developed such a loyal following over the years.

This 2019 example is exactly why. At just 7 lbs 1 oz, it's wonderfully lightweight, the Pattern Thin neck feels effortlessly fast, and the 85/15 pickups offer everything from pristine cleans to thick, articulate gain, with coil splits opening up even more tonal possibilities. Then there's the finish. Dark Cherry Sunburst is one of those timeless PRS colors that never goes out of style. It lets the figured maple top do exactly what it should.

If you're after a PRS that's comfortable enough for every gig and versatile enough for just about any style, the CE 24 continues to make an incredibly compelling case for itself.
