ART Professional Tube Preamplifier / Compressor [PAC] -- utilizes two real 12AX7 tubes to get a warm natural sound. Fantastic piece of gear from the late '90s and early 2000's. It is half-rack, I actually had been using on my guitar pedal board as it is well-known that it serves incredibly well as a DI and compressor for both acoustic and electric guitars for live performances. I would run it straight to the PA and got a well-rounded tone that removed the sterility of the piezo and cut through the mix. Also still very popular for studio use to get a great vocal or other sound.
I've upgraded one of the tubes to the Tung-Sol for even better fidelity, and have included the original Art tube as well so you can swap around whatever you like best.
