Beautiful, vintage Japanese Fender Squier SQ 72 reissue Stratocaster 1983-4
All original in great condition for age (40+ yrs) 1980s USA import model with 70s spec large headstock, 3 bolt neck, bullet truss, SQ5 square hole bobbin pickups, cast saddle bridge and original Fender Japan tuners, gorgeous maple neck with a genuine thick slab rosewood board. Fender Japan serial number ‘SQ19843’ stamped into neck plate.
Some signs of age/play related wear, some small dings/nicks to the body (see photos) some fading/discolouration, some minor tarnishing to metal parts…. All completely honest and authentic details. Currently set up with the bridge flat to the body.
Sounds, feels and plays incredible with a strong and authentic ‘vintage Fender’ vibe.
Intended mainly for the 80s American market, these 72 spec models are pretty hard to find here in the UK in such a clean and original condition….
