Here for sale we have an Epiphone Casino made in Japan in 1992 at the Terada factory. This guitar features a hollow body made from Maple, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include vintage style tuning machines, ABR-1 bridge and Trapeze tailpiece. Two P90 pickups are featured and wired to a 3-way pickup selector and independent volume and tone controls.The Maple neck plays very well, with the profile resembling a thin 'D' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip on chords, whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register. The neck binding and parallelogram inlays are nice touches which make the instrument feel premium and unique.This Casino comes fitted with two P-90 pickups, that are really the icing on the cake of this incredibly well-constructed guitar. The P-90 in the bridge gives you all of the crystal clear bite that you would want from such a guitar, perfect for lead or rhythm playing. The P-90 in the neck is as smooth and creamy as it gets, with tones that work so well with the resonance of the body. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. The treble side cutaway demonstrates a light indentation that has chipped the finish to reveal the wood beneath. Light scuffing is apparent to the front face edges. with wear to the finish at the top edges, revealing the wood beneath. Beneath the truss rod cover there are extra holes, drilled for a replacement truss rod of a different style.Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentations that can be lightly felt by the hand in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light to mild indentations at frets 1-4. These cannot be felt beneath the strings and do not effect playability.Body: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching and indentations throughout, The sides demonstrate light scratching, scuff and indentations, most notably around the lower bout, which has numerous light indenttaions. The rear face demonstrates light to mild concentrated scratching, scuffing and indentations throughout, consistent with buckle rash and playwear. None of these markings to the body have removed the finish to reveal the wood beneath. Two holes are present where a pickguard was previously attached.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate notable signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.Hardware: Fully functional and good condition. The controls knobs demonstrate light chipping of the plastic. Light to mild tarnishing is apparent to the pickup covers, bridge, tailpiece and tuners.
