Windward Keyless mopane Irish flute no. 334 Early 2010s

Up for sale is my Windward Flutes Mopane Keyless Pratten in D, serial #334 — a sweet, powerful session flute in excellent condition.

I purchased this flute used from the Irish Flute Store in 2017 and it has been my backup flute ever since. It has traveled well: I've played it on two tours through Ireland with my band, The Sternwheelers, and it's the flute featured across my Whistletutor channels on YouTube and TikTok. You can hear and see exactly how it sounds and plays there before you buy.

Why this flute is special: This is a genuine Pratten-style session flute with a wide dynamic range — sweet and soulful on slow airs, articulate and quick on jigs and reels, and loud when the session calls for it. The strong bottom end lets you punch a good hard D, and the stable Windward bore makes crans, rolls, and other ornamentation easy. It has an easily accessible 2½-octave range.
