Signed Chino Moreno (Deftones) Gibson SG Special Faded 2003

This is a one of a kind, priceless piece of rock history. 

Deftones frontman, Chino Moreno's guitar signed by the entire band including Chi Cheng (RIP). 

The guitar was used by Chino at Deftones 2003 concert at Wembley, London on 19th September 2003. The last song they played at that show was Change. After the song finished Chino took off his guitar and threw it into the crowd.

I was at this concert. Initially, I was nowhere near the front but once Chino threw the guitar I got closer and before I knew it I had my hands on it. Loads of people were all over it and everyone decided to smash it. But, I was like "NOOOOO!!!" and started going nuts and shaking everyone off and eventually there was just me and one other guy left holding the guitar.

Security took us out of the arena and made us flip a coin. I won the toss. It was like a dream and probably the greatest day of my life.

A year later, I found out that Deftones were playing with The Cure at an MTV filming in London. I went down to the TV studio with the guitar and hung around the car park where all the crew were. I eventually saw the band and walked straight up to them with the guitar. Chino instantly recognised it as his (as he glues his pickup switch to the bridge setting) and I explained to them that I got it at Wembley and asked them to sign it, including Chi Cheng. 

I've had this guitar in a case ever since it was signed. I am in a band myself and we are recording our 2nd album. My plan is to use the money from the sale of this guitar to fund the recording and marketing for our 2nd album. I am hoping that this gift from Deftones will, in turn, help fund art which is massively influenced by this great band. 

I am reluctant to sell as I realise how rare this item is. However, I feel the time is right and if it can help me create an album of music I am proud of then the reason for selling is correct.
