Up for sale is an absolute dream piece for collectors and players alike: a 2001 Fender American Vintage Reissue (AVRI) ’57 Stratocaster in the exceptionally rare and stunning custom color Ice Blue Metallic.
This guitar is a literal time capsule. For being 25 years old, it is in Near Mint condition and looks like it was pulled straight from a music store hangar in 2001. Incredibly, all of the original factory protective plastic is still intact on the pickguard and the back plate, complete with the original dealer stickers.
The AVRI series is legendary for its meticulous attention to golden-era specifications. Built in Corona, California, this ’57 reissue captures the exact spirit of the original transition-era Strats—featuring a resonant comfort-contoured alder body, a gorgeous single-piece maple neck with a comfortable ’57 soft "V" profile, and a thin, vibrant nitrocellulose lacquer finish that allows the wood to breathe and resonate beautifully.
It plays and sounds exactly as a premium vintage-spec Strat should. This is an investment-grade instrument that is nearly impossible to find in this untouched state.
