A stunning non reverse Firebird in a beautiful aged nitro Burgundy refin!
The guitar is fully set up to play with new frets and nut!
This Firebird features one original p-90 and another mid 1950’s Gibson p-90 which was taken out of an ES-225! Both pickups sound amazing and are nicely balanced.
The pots have been replaced with VIP pots but the originals are in the case. It also comes with what I believe are the original knobs in the case. The lightning bar stop tail and short vibrola tremolo are original. The machine heads are vintage 1960’s six in line Klusons but we're not sure if they are original to the guitar.
There are no cracks or major structural repairs visible through the finish. Apparently the guitar had been stripped long ago and fully redone a few years ago
The aging and finish work is truly stunning with lots of weather checking and oxidation peeking through.
There is a slight bit of over sanding on the neck treble side of the neck joint before the refinish, this was apparently done deliberately for comfort on the higher end of the fretboard, its very slight and barely noticeable.
The serial number is also still visible
Overall a fantastic player grade non reverse Firebird with all the good stuff!
Comes in a lightweight rigid softcase.
