I am the second owner.
I have had this amp for 20 years and never gigged with it.
I have the history from the prior owner (see below). That history
includes certain mods or fixes and so does the history of the amp
since I acquired it.
Note the previous owner marked up the silverface dials hashmarks with numbers.
I have not tried to remove these marks.
Various caps, resistors, electrolytics have been replaced to spec
Transformers are original, (Fender Schumacker 022756 power transformer) and other
than the mods or replacements described below, it is original. All components
have been replaced to spec, and Dan Lurie made some fixes and minor
(Jerry Garcia resistor and capacitor ) mods in 2020 (see below)
History:
I bought it in 2002 from the original owner who purchased in early '72.
Before that, the old owner had made the following changes:
-Bright switch replaced 2002
-XLR output added. I presume this was done for a direct output to mixer. I never
used this and have never tested it ***In 2020 when I sent this amp to Dan Lurie he said
he would remove it if it caused issues but it did not and the xlr remained.
Mods made in 2020 by Dan Lurie / FYD amps:
