Now available on consignment, a 1974 Fender Telecaster Custom in an unusual Wine Red finish.
This example of a series 2 Fender Telecaster Custom is in decent shape for a 50+ year old guitar, having a few changes to make it more approachable:
- At one point schaller tuners were installed.
- The bridge pickup has been replaced with an unbranded unit, it sounds good balancing with the original neck pickup.
- The nut and switch tip have been replaced.
Otherwise the guitar features most of its original parts with the pots dating to 1974, and the original Seth Lover designed wide range humbucker is still in the neck position. The original frets have a decent amount of play wear, however play well with 10-46 strings and a lower action. There is some buckle rash and dings to note on the body as well.
A fantastic sounding Telecaster Custom in an unsusual finish, includes a non-original hardcase.
