This 2016 made-in-Mexico Hendrix Stratocaster is a time capsule from 2016. The previous owner was a collector, and this instrument has been sitting in storage for almost ten years.

The pickguard and tremolo back cover both still have their factory plastic on them. The Hendrix neck plate still has its warning stickers. The original factory strings show a little tarnish, but this guitar is in near mint condition, ready to start its life with you.

The Fender-branded hard shell case includes the original hang tags among other case candy. The only thing missing here is the Tremolo arm, but they can be found for about $8 at your local music store.

In addition to its pristine condition, this particular guitar weighs in at a light and resonant 7 pds, 6.6 oz. That a great weight for any Stratocaster, let alone a special run like this.

The maple neck even has some light flame. I tried to capture it in the photos. It's subtle, but definitely there.

I put this guitar through its paces, and it sounds beautiful. All the electronics work as they should. The pickups have that Hendrix sparkle that I associate with mid-60s Strats. Positions 2 and 4 get a nice out-of-phase quack.
