Beautiful Antoine Courtois Paris C Trumpet with Courtois Case and Courtois Mouthpiece

This listing is for a bright silver-plated Antoine Courtois Paris trumpet in the key of C. Included are a Courtois double trumpet case and a Courtios mouthpiece.

The artistic craftsmanship evident throughout this French-made trumpet is what makes it a beautiful horn.  There is detailed scrollwork around the slides, valve caps, and finger buttons.  The pinky ring is uniquely shaped with an AC design.  The trumpet's serial number is 39675, and the last three numbers, 675, are imprinted on each of the valves.  The top valve caps are the typical screw-in French design.

The trumpet's valves are quick and quiet. All slides move freely and smoothly, including the very convenient and comfortable trigger-operated first and third valve slides. The first valve slide trigger has a stop screw receiver, but the screw is missing.

The trumpet comes with a sturdy, hardshell Courtois double trumpet case that is spacious.  In addition to the compartments for two trumpets, there is an open storage area that can readily accommodate mutes and other accessories.  And there are four mouthpiece holders in the case. All of the case's hardware is fully functional.  The exterior covering material has various minor imperfections, including scuffs and a few small tears.  The interior lining material is in good shape overall although it does have some stains. 

Also included in the listing is the Courtois mouthpiece pictured. Although certainly playable, it has numerous cosmetic imperfections, including scrapes, nicks, and plating wear.

The trumpet has various dents/dings and some minor plating wear. There is a noteworthy dent where the brace between the third valve and the bell joins the bell. That is shown in the last two listing photos. Nonetheless, the horn is playable and fully functional. It has the beautiful bright sound that professional model French trumpets are known for.

The trumpet has been thoroughly cleaned and is ready to play.
