Up for auction is a vintage Roland JV-880 1U rack-mount synthesizer module, being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, repair, or restoration.

Included with the module is the vintage Roland PN-JV80-04 "Rich Sound Collection" PCM data card inserted in the front slot.

BACKGROUND:

This unit belonged to a smoke-free studio environment and played perfectly before being placed into storage decades ago. Due to the effects of sitting unused over time, it currently has the issues listed below.

FUNCTIONAL CONDITION:

- Power: The unit powers on successfully.

- Display: The LCD screen is faded/blank. You cannot read the characters or navigate menus.

- Audio/MIDI: Tested for basic functionality; it does not respond to incoming MIDI data and does not output any audio.

COSMETIC CONDITION:

- Good to Fair condition. It shows normal signs of vintage rack wear, minor scratches, and scuffs on the chassis from studio use, but the front panel face, buttons, data slider, and knobs are intact. Please see photos for exact cosmetic details.

The bottom panel shows significant vintage oxidation, surface pitting, and age spots as pictured, but the chassis remains physically solid.
