Here we have a like new 6 month old late 2025 Gibson J-45 Custom Shop guitar. The guitar was 1 of 3 passed down to a son & family that the late Father never got to play. None of his children played guitar. Described as a bucket list towards the end. No need for cases as he never left the house.

This guitar he never got to and has the original strings from the factory. It was never ever played. Frets new, pickguard not a scratch. MINT! Sad.

Comes with our pictured heavy duty Deluxe sewn slightly used hard shell case that fits like a glove.

Serial# 23465701: breaks down as follows:

• Year of Manufacture: 2025. Gibson uses the 1st and 5th digits of the serial number to determine the year (2xxxx5xx). (Note: It is common for late-2025 builds to be marketed or sold as 2026 model-year instruments.
• Day of the Year: 346. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th digits indicate the Julian date. This guitar was stamped on December 12, 2025, late in the production year.
• Production Number: 701. The final three digits (xxx701) represent the factory tracking and ranking sequence for that specific day.

The Gibson Custom Select J-45 Standard in Grizzly Burst (often referred to as the Grizzley sunburst) is a highly customized, small-batch acoustic guitar handmade by artisans in Bozeman, Montana. Part of the exclusive Gibson Custom Select Collection, this model strips away standard J-45 cosmetics to focus on rare tone woods and minimalist aesthetic appointments.

Body & Tone woods:

• Top Material: Rare, figured bear claw Sitka spruce featuring unique natural chevrons and streaks.
• Back & Sides: Solid mahogany.
• Body Style: Round-shoulder dreadnought.
• Bracing: Traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing.
• Finish: Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer in the custom Grizzly Burst finish.
• Binding: Multi-ply top binding.

Neck & Fretboard:

• Fretboard Material: Striped ebony, which is exclusively available via the Custom Select and Made to Measure programs.
• Fretboard Inlays: None (the traditional mother-of-pearl dots are omitted to showcase the striped ebony).
• Neck Material: Mahogany.
• Neck Profile: Slim Taper profile for a comfortable, fast feel.
• Scale Length: 24.75" / 628.65 mm (classic Gibson short scale).

Gordy's Music has become a Detroit institution! Our shop was used as a filming location for a few films like "Miracle in Motor City" a Christmas movie on Lifetime (featuring Smoky Robinson). We've supplied gear for movies including "Bill & Ted Face The Music" with Keanu Reeves. We've got decades of celebrity customers, including recent visits from Beck, Eric Johnson, and we recently sold Billy Joel's bassist a cool Gibson SG he is in love with. One day a while back Andre 3000 and his group stopped in to browse as they were playing Masonic Temple that night and right after that we sold an old oil can Morley Wah Vibrato pedal to Credence Clearwater Revival's thee John Fogerty!

We are having and have had a lot of fun here at Gordy's Music! I was just remembering about 35 years ago a tour bus pulled up to our little shop, and who rolls right in and hangs out for an hour? Lenny Kravitz and his entire group, right about the same time I was selling many guitars to and chauffeuring around Dee Dee Ramone who had an apartment a block down from my house.
