I am selling my used DBK-Unique analog synthesizer.

The DBK Unique was produced in Italy by Crumar.

DBK Synthesizer in very good overall working and good cosmetic condition.

*PLEASE READ All THE DETAILS BELOW*

DBK UNIQUE is the US version of Crumar Bit-99 synthesizer.

Both of those synths are exactly the same in function and sound. The front panel graphic appearance is the only thing that’s different.

I’ve had this synth for about 20 years in my air-conditioner and smoke free studio. It has been well maintained.

If I remember correctly, I am the second owner of this “unique”synthesizer.

  1. The keyboard was recently serviced by a technician. Internal parts checked and cleaned.
  2. The internal battery was recently replaced.
  3. All the sound patches have  restored to factory settings.
  4. DBK synth will be packaged securely and will ship quickly after payment is received.
  5. The synthesizer will come with the power cable.
  6. I tested and played the instrument recently, everything appears to be working great!
  7. User manual in PDF format can be viewed and downloaded here:

The DBK volume sliders:

Due to the age of this instrument, the volume sliders (upper and lower) may sometimes act scratchy/noisy, but only when moving up and down. Once they are used regularly, the noise goes away.

I never replaced the volume sliders because they never gave me enough trouble.

For the most part, volume sliders are silent and don’t affect the playing performance.

This problem might occur only sometimes and mostly after not playing on synth for more than a couple weeks.

Overall, the volume sliders are still working pretty good for the most part.

Cosmetics:

DBK synthesizer has same very fine light scratchers and tiny dings on top, but overall looks great. There are also scratchers on the bottom of the keyboard from regular usebut overall nothing major here.

I took plenty of pictures from different angles, so you can judge for yourself.

In the center of the front panel, there is a yellow programmable voices slid. This list is attached with tape that can be easily removed, if that is what you prefer.

Underneath voice lists or tape, it is possible that be some marks, maybe missing paint spots from missing bracket that used that hold voices slid.

Other than that, keyboard is still in very good condition for his own age.

Again, look closely at the pictures.

CRUMAR Bit/DBK Unique was produced from 1984-1986.

Information quotes from a few various websites:

The DBK Unique is considered a very rare analog synth.

The DBK synth supposedly is the newer version of Crumar Bit-99/Bit-O1 (rack module)

DBK Unique synth is considered to be a slightly more reliable version of Bit-99.

Supposedly the DBK synth MIDI communication was upgraded but I cannot verify those claims.

Supposedly, the design and components of Bit-99 and DBK are exactly the same.

The only difference between those models is the front panel graphics.

Bit/DBK Unique is distinctive in its own true way, with that 80’s tone, that resembles the sounds of Siel Kiwi, Oberheim Matrix 6.

The Crumar had a considerable distribution network not only in Europe but also in the USA. The BIT instruments were available under several names. UNIQUE, to our best knowledge, is the US-distributor in North America and launched the Bit-99 as UNIQUE DBK(keyboard), the Bit-01 as UNIQUE DBE (expander) and the Bit-MMK as UNIQUE DBM (masterkeyboard).

More here:

Crumar Bit/DBK synths have been used extensively by many famous musicians throughout middle 80’s as well 90s.

Crumar Bit/DBK synthesizer series are famous for great synth basses, juicy synth brasses, pads and other special effect or unique sounds.

Overall, sounds of Bit/DBK synthesizers are pure and analogue.

Most of the demos of sounds on YouTube don’t do justice on how great this synth can sound.

I recommend to pair this synth with reverb and chorus effects that help elevate the sound to the next level.

I put extensive information here, so if you’re interested you can purchase with confidence.

I’m selling this synthesizer as is and as described
