Wonderful offering from the great builders at Santa Cruz Guitar Company. Probably in better than excellent condition with only superficial signs of handling. Set up perfectly with great break angle over the saddle. Geometry is perfect. Frets show virtually no wear at all. Comes in original issue SCGC case made by Ameritage that's stunning in its own right and as nice as the guitar.
This is a standard OM/PW build with the following upgrades: short scale (24 3/4"); ebony rectangular pyramid bridge; top-of-the line Waverly nickel open back tuners; abalone inlays on the 5th, 7th, and 9th frets; herringbone top purfling. Beautiful high grade non-torrified Sitka top with nice silking. High grade Indian Rosewood back and sides. Compensated bone saddle with bone bridge pins. Ebony fretboard with 1 3/4" bone nut. SCGC logo inlaid on headstock. No pick up. No strap button installed at heel.
This stunning build plays and sounds heavenly. The fit and finish are among the best in the business. Neck has a very comfortable rounded profile with no hint of a 'V'. There truly are no other guitars quite like the gorgeous builds coming out of the small shop in California. These are special and lifetime instruments for some.
