This listing is for an extremely rare Royer SF-12A Active Stereo Ribbon Microphone plated in real 18K gold!
Please note that the current Royer model SF-24 was previously called the "SF-12A". So the mic here is essentially a Gold plated SF-24 Microphone. 
The SF-12A designation indicates that it was only six microphones to sport that model number before the company renamed it the SF-24 (at Bruce Swedien’s recommendation).
There are probably less than a dozen 18K Gold SF mics total in existence, as they were available only for a short run for special Royer clients. 

This mic is in mint condition and comes with all original accessories. Super rich sound, still natural and warm. Great on stereo and mono recordings. This SF-24 / 12A is the stereo version of the R-122 microphone.

This microphone can perform great on acoustic recordings, such as orchestras, ensembles, choirs, rooms, over heads, pianos, organ, upright bass, vocals. You mame it.

The microphone comes with original hard shell case with keys, sleeve, shock mount, cable, main case with keys. Everything in perfect shape and original.
