I have an early '84 Japanese Fender Custom Telecaster, double bound. This guitar has an amazing hand feel with play wear in all the right places. This was a custom order in Japan, with an all maple neck and fretboard versus the usual rosewood fretboard.
I had a refret done with the original vintage Japan size. The original fewta were played through. Surprisingly the nut didn't need to be redone, so that's original. I have the original tuners but one of the E/e string tuners was replaced before I got the guitar, it wasn't an end tuner so I put a new set of japanese Gotoh tuners on.
The bridge pickup is a DiMarzio and sounds incredible. Neck pickup is stock.
The guitar is priced according to its condition. This isn't as much a collectors piece in pristine condition, it's a players guitar with mojo. As you can see, it still has plenty of life left and even more character.
I'm selling because I'm helping to fund disc golf equipment for my daughter and a chance for her to possibly attend Jr worlds this summer. If the listing is up the guitar is available. Happy to ship at your expense.
Includes the hard shell case which is a 1967-1971 era Fender American case.
