2022 Gibson Les Paul Adam Jones Standard with headstock repair. The headstock was broken off and I glued it back on with the proper glue and technique. So far it has held on since September 15th of last year with no issues. It was fully gutted to a husk and I put back together with used parts I had lying around. So, no original parts are on the guitar. I built this guitar with versatility in mind to sound great no matter what genre you play. I’m not sure what all the parts came off of except the pickups. I used Burstbucker pros from a 2024 Les Paul Studio. The tuners are Grover kidney bean tuners. The bridge is a non-aluminum API Nashville. The tailpiece non-aluminum Gibson. I installed a non-push pull pot board so all components have harnesses that plug into it. The switch and jack are switchcraft that came from the guitar with the board. The guitar plays and sounds great. The guitar‘s headstock was broken off twice. It was said, by the original owner, that it was repaired by Gibson repair and restoration shop, but it broke off a second time in shipping. I cleaned it up and clamped together with titebond red. The awl left a indent in the back of the headstock from being clamped. But, I never paid any attention to it. As long as the headstock held on I didn’t care. I didn‘t bother making the repair look pretty. It just left it as a raw and crude unhidden repair. It can be filled sanded and repainted if the next owner chooses. As I mentioned, it’s held fine. I had 10’s on it up until recently installing 9’s on it. There is some black paint on the binding in a couple places. There are a few minor finish blemishes as of fine scratches and a really small dent in the back of the neck that couldn‘t be photographed. Can’t tell it’s there while playing. This is a player‘s guitar. I made a couple videos attempting to play some Tool on it. (All the AJ fans out there…Please don’t hold me to perfection. I know I played them wrong and messed up a few times gave the songs no justice. This was done with no rehearsals or redos. On the fly I said Hey it’s a AJ guitar. I’ll do a few Tool song lol) Even with BB Pro’s and 9’s it still can do Tool with ease, or even rock and blues. Whatever you are into, it sounds good. Although it’s been through a lot in its short life, it’s still a great guitar. Comes with the factory modern black Gibson case and case candy. The warranty card shows it left the factory, the first time, on 1/3/23.
All sales are final. No returns will be accepted…unless the headstock breaks off again in shipping…or it arrives not as described. If you would like additional information, photos, etc, please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking.
