Leo Fender-designed Magnetic Field Design (MFD) single coil from a G&L USA ASAT Classic Bluesboy T-Style guitar. Sale includes a Gotoh “In-Tune” telecaster bridge (BS-TC1S) with brass saddles. The unique grooving on the “In-Tune” saddles results in more exact intonation compared to traditional vintage-style saddles. Each saddle is reversible and can be used in any position. Titanium construction for rich harmonic overtones and long sustain. The brass saddle creates bright sound.
Tonal Characteristics
Broader Frequency: MFDs deliver a strong, punchy bottom end and a sparkly top without losing midrange focus.
Higher Output: They yield about twice the output per wind compared to conventional pickups, resulting in a hotter, thicker tone—often compared to a P90—while remaining remarkably quiet.
Increased Versatility: When paired with active/passive electronics systems (like G&L’s PTB system), MFDs offer incredible clarity and detail, even when rolling back volume or bass controls.
