I am the original owner of this DR-5, and it has never once left my smoke free studio since it was purchased new. A change in circumstances shortly after I got it left me no time for playing/recording, so it has virtually never been used. Nevertheless, I tested it before listing it for sale, and not only does it look brand new, it works like new as well. The DR-5 can be powered by the included power supply or with 6 AA batteries (not included) which are good for up to 6 hours with alkalines. Note, the unit also has a separate internal memory battery (A standard CR2032) which is original and something you will want to replace.
