The Hohner Blues Bender harmonica features the same acoustic covers as the patented Marine Band Harmonica that has been a favorite since its inception in 1896.  The special shape of the marine band cover increases the volume of air between the reeds and allows for greater projection and volume.  The Hohner Blues Bender takes it further and adds thicker than normal reed plates for a consistent tone and is airtight between the mouthpiece to allow for easier note bending and expressive playing.  All this combines to make the Blues bender a professional instrument designed for those learning to play- a winning combo!
