Read this carefully. What a story! In 2012 I contacted the original Carvin Guitar Company (before Kiesel) in California to make me a perfect superstrat. We started with the Jason Becker JB200C model and it was built as follows. Upgraded to solid mahogany back with flame maple top. The holy grail of guitar woods. I also upgraded to stainless jumbo frets. Electronics include Carvin multi tap/phase system with pickups that can be standard passive or active pickups selectable with a knob. The final product was so exceptional that Carvin photographed it for the cover of their next catalog! This is a tone monster with huge sustain. With the various pickup configurations you can get just about any tone you want from a country strat tone to a full on active humbucker face melt! Ships in hardshell case. Guitar weighs 8.6 lbs.
