Up for sale is a 1973 Fender Precision Bass Neck. It's a maple neck topped with a really dark veneer rosewood fretboard. It had a bit of a messy refret job by a previous owner that left some tooling marks in the fretboard. I was going to do the patch work myself, but thought better left to someone with better skills than me. The frets themselves seem to be mostly level but could use a good crown and polish job. Otherwise it feels and plays great. The backside feels really nice and smooth. The truss rod works properly and the neck is straight. I don't know for sure, but the logo may have been reapplied. The authenticity of the neck is confirmed with the heel stamps though. I suspect the nut was replaced at some point also. This would make a great neck for a player grade vintage parts build. I originally built it with the '75 natural finish body I also have listed. They go great together. If you are interested in both, I'm sure I can make a package deal for the two. If you have questions, please ask!
Additional specs:
- 1 5/8" nut width
- Neck depth: 1st Fret 0.80", 12th 0.98"
- Weight 1lbs 9oz
