Ibanez X Series Rocket Roll II RR-550 W/ OHSC MIJ Japan 1983 - Cherry Sunburst

Up for grabs we have here an Ibanez Rocket Roll II RR-550 in an absolutely jaw dropping cherry sunburst finish. one of Ibanez’s most iconic and over the top designs from the early/mid ’80s. If you’re after pure vintage metal attitude, this is it.

The Rocket Roll II features the “flying V” body shape that made these famous, paired with a fast maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It’s loaded with original Ibanez pickups that deliver everything from crunchy hard-rock rhythm tones to searing lead sounds. This model was a favorite during the golden era of Japanese Ibanez craftsmanship and is now getting increasingly hard to find.

Good condition overall especially given its age. It’s quite easy to tell that the guitar has been well loved and played a ton. There are scratches, dings, and dents all over. Neck is straight, truss rod works, frets have plenty of life, and all electronics function as they should. Some time in this guitars lifetime someone had put a pickguard in it but I think it just adds to the mystique and mojo of this.
