Alembic Europa 6-String Bass 1992 - Walnut Top

Here we have a very nice Alembic 1992 Europa 6-String Bass. This is a player bass, not a closet queen, this has been my main bass for 33 years. I bought it new in AZ in 1993. It plays and sounds amazing. Due to my arthritis, I’m not able to play the wider necks anymore. I purchased the RF chip upgrade in 2025, so that is installed, sounds great. The original case will come with, not bad for it's age, but you can see some scuffs and the latches work, but not what they once were. You can buy a new one from Alembic. The finish has a couple minor nicks, but nothing major and pretty darn good for it's age. The electronics are standard Europa, outlined below. A well loved bass looking for a good new home.

Standard Europa Electronics:
- Volume Control: Adjusts the overall output.
- Pan (or Blend) Control: Mixes the output between the neck and bridge pickups.
- Low-Pass Filter: Sweeps the cutoff frequency to roll off high-end. Like a normal tone control when Q switch is off, more active around the cutoff when Q switch is on.
- Q Switch (On/Off): Changes the resonance peak at the filter's cutoff frequency. (Classic Alembic Q filter)
- Bass Boost/Cut Switch: A 3-position switch (boost/flat/cut) tailored for the low frequencies.
- Treble Boost/Cut Switch: A 3-position switch (boost/flat/cut) for controlling higher frequencies.

Center of string 6 to center of string 1, 1 & 7/8th inches at the nut and 3 & 4/8th inches at the bridge.
