Amazing vintage pair of Neumann U87s from 1982. Serial numbers 40483 and 40544. Both mics are identical. Same electronic components. Capsules also have very close serial numbers - 18106 and 18113.
Both microphones are in great shape and sound identical. They can easily be used for stereo pairs. All polar patterns work well, as well as pad and roll off switches.
One of the capsule heads is still sealed with Neumann’s factory wax seal. This means that the capsule head has never been opened. For that reason only one capsule was photographed.
Both microphones are very clean and work perfect. They come in a Neumann aluminum case with two original Neumann Z 48 shock mounts.
