Design & Build

Built with a birch/poplar multi-laminate hardwood enclosure finished in durable DuraFlex, the PRX418S resists wear from transport and harsh environments. The 16-gauge steel grille with CNC-machined construction and acoustically transparent lining protects the 18" JBL Selenium woofer while maintaining clean sonic output.

Audio Performance

The PRX418S integrates seamlessly into sub/sat systems, providing tight, focused low-frequency reinforcement from 35–250 Hz (-10 dB) with a usable peak response of 52–120 Hz (+3 dB). Its 800W continuous / 1600W program / 3200W peak power handling and 130 dB SPL peak maximum output deliver clean, controlled bass even at extended throws.
